Norwich Reel In Fisher As Latest Young Talent Steps Up

The National League is once again demonstrated it is a springboard to success for young talent as one of the competition’s up-and-coming stars sealed a big move.

Kellen Fisher has secured a contract at Norwich City after a brilliant breakthrough season at Bromley.

It earned the club and healthy undisclosed fee as the Ravens spoke of their pride in his progression.

Andy Woodman put his trust in the teenager, who helped take his team into the play-offs and knows he has a big future in the pro game.

The 19-year-old full-back was named the Non-League Paper's Young Player of the Year, as well as Bromley's Supporters' Player of the Season.

Now his talents could be on show in the Championship after earning a deal at Carrow Road.

He told Norwich’s website: "I'm buzzing to have signed for the club. I can't wait to get started, and get pre-season underway.

"When Norwich came in, I was really excited. There's a vision, there's a plan, and there's the obvious pathway for me.

"I know there's a lot of youth players that get brought through the club, so it was a no-brainer for me.”

Woodman is sad to see him go but can’t wait to see his progress over the next few years.

He said: “From day one when I came to Bromley I could see Kellen was a really good young talent.

“The key for me was when to expose him to first team football and once I did, he just excelled. I’m extremely proud and chuffed to have seen another young player under my coaching career progress.

“Kellen will no doubt have a bright future.”
