Norburn Earns Silkmen Deal

Vanarama National League club Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of midfielder Ollie Norburn.

The 23-year-old who has impressed since his arrival on trial joins after leaving league rivals Guiseley AFC.

Norburn, who was with Chelsea and Leicester City as a youngster, got his first real taste of senior football on loan at Bristol Rovers.

Norburn impressed for Rovers and made the move permanent in July 2012.

He made over sixty appearances for the club before joining Plymouth in July 2014.

He left the club in November 2015 and joined Guiseley where he established himself as a strong National League midfielder with three goals in seventeen appearances to help the club avoid relegation.
