Non-League Day Preview: Vanarama National League

By David Richardson

This year's Non-League Day is shaping up to be the biggest and most exciting yet with some enthralling National League matches to come, including a LIVE game on BT Sport!

The leaders of the division changed once again in mid-week as Macclesfield Town became the latest club to reach the summit. They host an Ebbsfleet United side that have lost just once this season and have won their last three games.

One of the games of the weekend takes place at the Laithwaite Community Stadium as third-placed Woking are visited by Dagenham and Redbridge, who sit just below them.

Dean Keates' resilient Wrexham are set to welcome Eastleigh and the BT Sport cameras on Saturday evening with a 5.30pm kick-off.

On Wednesday night, Tranmere Rovers won on TV against Leyton Orient and now Rovers, who are making steady progress, host local rivals Chester.

Meanwhile, Orient, that have now lost five of their last six, head to Barrow - another struggling side that sit just above the relegation zone.

Aldershot Town will hope to put an end to their three-game winless run at Maidenhead United, who suffered a 4-0 thumping at Torquay United on Tuesday. It was the Gulls first win of the season and they're at home again against second-place Dover Atheltic.

Fifth-placed Sutton United conceded a very late equaliser against Dover in mid-week - they'll be hoping for better luck at home to AFC Fylde.

Managerless Gateshead, after Neil Aspin left the club to move to League Two Port Vale, host a Bromley side which claimed some Kent bragging rights with an impressive win at Maidstone United.

Guiseley, who are winless in five games under new manager Paul Cox, will be visited by the Stones.

Ninth-placed FC Halifax Town head to Boreham Wood, in tenth while Richard Money takes charge of his first game as Solihull Moors' new boss at home to Hartlepool United.
