No Side Stronger Than Dorking Says Manager White

Marc White says there’s no team better than his Dorking Wanderers in the Vanarama National League South.

The Surrey club’s colourful manager is happy to talk up his club’s chances with the countdown to the season well and truly on.

Dorking were relegated last season for the first time in their history.

Manager White says that really hurt - and is determined to remove the dark clouds with an encouraging campaign.

A number of impressive new arrivals include experienced striker Rhys Murphy and the owner thinks they are in a really good place.

“I would say we have quietly signed really well, he said to BBC Surrey.

“There’s a different feel about the place. There won’t be as much stress here next year, it’s a strong league and we know that.

"But I don't think anyone has as good an 11 as us, not in a million years.

“I’m not over taking here, I’m just being honest. We’ve made some changes and we’re really looking forward to the first game.”

Dorking begin next season with a trip to Truro City before home games with Chippenham and Boreham Wood.

“I’m really hurt by it all,” he said earlier this summer after he spoke about a rare poor season. “We’re not used to failure. We had so much bad luck last season it was unbelievable.
“That was a journey in itself but the plan is to come back bigger, bolder and better.“
