No Panic For Penney Despite York Losing Unbeaten Run

York City's Sporting Director Dave Penney says the side did all they could despite a loss at Stockport County.

The Minstermen lost for the first tine in seven games, match highlights here, writes Tom Feaheny.

With a defeat at Edgeley Park, York had chances but couldn't trouble the scoreline losing 2-0.

"The result was disappointing, obviously, but did they have two, maybe three, chances," Penney told the club's website.

"Their goalkeeper got the Man of the Match and, when we did eventually beat him, they cleared it off the line."

"We have won five and drawn the last one so they have not become bad players overnight. They are a decent team and, on another day, we get a goal and go onto get three or four."
