No Curse For Chorley’s Man Of The Moment

As days go, it’s safe to assume Chorley supporters have had worse ones.

Not only did their highflying side thrash Ashton United 5-0 away from home to continue their great start to the Vanarama National League North season.

But others’ dropped points means the Magpies are already an incredible seven points clear.

There was another big bonus - boss Jamie Vermiglio avoided the Manager of the Month curse!

“I’m made up because this was a big potential banana skin for us,” he told the club’s twitter account.

“The waves just keep coming and at the moment we are riding the crest!

“We are showing a real togetherness on the pitch - we were organised and we were disciplined.

“The contributions from the goalkeeper right the way through to the subs is fantastic. Its a team effort.

“It’s even more pleasing when you come off the pitch and see one or two of the other sides have dropped points.

“We have managed to capitalise on that and now we are seven points clear it’s fantastic.”
