New Late Recruit Can`t Prevent Opening Day Defeat

FC Halifax Town announced the late signing of 25-year-old defender Michael Duckworth in time for him to go straight into the team that suffered a 2-0 home defeat yesterday.
Duckworth, who was born in Rinteln in Germany, has signed a one-year deal with the Shaymen.
He has previously played for Harrogate Railway Athletic, Bradford Park Avenue, Hartlepool United, Fleetwood Town and had a loan spell at Morecambe last season.
