New Keeper Joins Spennymoor

Spennymoor Town have signed goalkeeper Shane Bland from Evo-Stik League Premier side Whitby Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper completes his move after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs, the player and his representatives.

A popular figure with the supporters, Bland joined the Seasiders from Middlesbrough – where he began his career - in 2013 and signed a new two-year contract with the Blues in May 2016.

Bland made over 200 appearances over his five years with Whitby, making himself one of the most popular figures around the Turnbull Ground in the recent years.
