New Chairman at Stockport

Director Richard Park has accepted an invitation to become chairman of Vanarama National League North club Stockport County with immediate effect.

Park has been a Board member at Edgeley Park since May 2013 and, as a shareholder, has invested substantial funds to support the club for many years.

He is a life-long County fan and brings substantial business experience to the role.

Park said: "I am very proud to accept the position as chairman of Stockport County, and I hope it demonstrates my increasing confidence that the club is now moving in the right direction, thanks to the support and hard work of some amazing people behind the scenes. I'm also grateful to my colleagues and those supporters who have spoken to me privately for all their support and encouragement. It is truly a huge honour".
