Neighbourly Gesture As Phipps In Loaned To Wings

Maidstone United`s Harry Phipps has joined National League South side Welling United on a month-long loan.

Phipps joined the Stones from Margate in December 2016.

He made his Gate debut from the substitutes bench in a game against Sutton United that February and featured consistently in the run-up to his move.

The 19-year-old was at Gillingham’s academy in Canterbury for two seasons and also played for the Stones under-15s a few years ago.

The midfielder will link up with former Stones player Jamie Coyle, who took over the managerial reigns at Park View Road this summer.

Phipps should be in the squad for the Wings away match at Oxford City today.
