We are delighted to present the division’s Manager, Player and the Vanarama Volunteer of the Month following a big few weeks of action.
This is the year of course that Notts County hope to reclaim their EFL place.
To do that, they needed to begin January strongly and manager Neal Ardley got things off to a strong start.
They didn’t kick off until the middle of the month, but took down Stockport County in the FA Trophy when they returned to duty.
A draw against leaders Torquay United followed, before ending with two great wins over Solihull Moors and Weymouth without conceding.
Yeovil have a fantastic month as well, and Albi Skendi has been the heartbeat behind their recovery.
The midfielder inspired a wonderful late victory over Torquay to start 2021 in style, before getting on the scoresheet as the Glovers triumphed over old foes Weymouth.
Things didn’t go well at Maidenhead, but the 27-year-old was back on form in the last game of the month to secure a crucial three points against Dover Athletic.
We love the Vanarama Volunteer of the Month Award as those who give up their time are rightly acknowledged.
Wrexham’s Community Lead Stephen Lloyd like most fans is excited to see what 2021 brings thanks to a couple of Hollywood mega stars pitching up in north Wales.
But he knows there’s plenty of things to do in the meantime.
Stephen set up, organises and runs a men’s peer support mental health group, Dragon Chat.
The aim of the group is to provide men with a safe space to talk openly as they look to ultimately attempt to address the high rates of suicide for males, particularly between the ages of 18-49.
The initiative is ground breaking – and is going from strength-to-strength and his efforts have not gone unnoticed by all at the Racecourse.
Congratulations to all our fantastic winners!
