Especially with so much riding on matches at the moment. We’re seeing the men separated from the boys.
As you would expect, it was a full-throttle evening at both ends of the table. We have a new Golden Boot leader, and a new name in the bottom four and the play-offs.
The way we pick the side is simple. We examine the match stats and call on our eyes and ears around the grounds to piece it together.
But it wouldn’t be football if everyone was in agreement now, would it?

The National League Team of the Tuesday Night:
Goalkeeper: Nathan Ashmore (Ebbsfleet)
Just how big could his second-half penalty save against Eastleigh prove to be? It set the stage for his side to go on and grab the winner.
Defender: Jake Goodman (Maidenhead)
The centre-back got what turned out to be the all-important goal against Sutton United. Another late Magpies winner.
Defender: Kenny Clark (Ebbsfleet)
He’s hardly prolific but what is it they say, it’s all about the timing? A crucial goal won the match at Eastleigh and a clean sheet too. Captain.
Defender: Louis Laing (Hartlepool United)
A priceless winning goal preserved Hartlepool's National League status. You could sense the relief.
Defender: Asa Hall (Barrow)
Playing in defence this week, and struck the winner! Maybe Ady Pennock has found the magic formula. A huge result for Barrow.
Defender: Jack Holland (Bromley)
We’ve got a goalscoring back five - half the reason why it is a back five! This man got two against Dagenham. Outstanding again.
Midfielder: Harry Pritchard (Maidenhead)
He’s had a great season, and now has 13 goals from midfield to his name. Always causes teams problems, and gave Sutton United a torrid time.
Midfielder: Jim Kellermann (Aldershot Town)
Gary Waddock told his players to improve and they did just that to secure a play-off spot and Kellermann in particular impressed as unpredictable Gateshead were pushed aside.
Midfielder: Lewis Walters (Barrow)
He’s coming into his own when it matters. Another appearance in our Team of the Weekend.
Striker: Andy Cook (Tranmere)
He’s on fire. The new Golden Boot leader notched the winning goal against Dover and was a constant threat.
Striker: Scott Rendell (Aldershot)
His winner just before half-time will give the striker a big lift. Are the Shots looking sharper ahead of the play-offs this year?
Substitutes:
Scott Loach (Hartlepool)
Moussa Diarra (Barrow)
Richie Sutton (Tranmere)
Craig Eastmond (Sutton United)
Frankie Raymond (Bromley)
