National League South: Complete Weekend Preview

By Sam Elliott

You can slip a cigarette paper between the teams at the top of the National League South, so who will light up their Saturday afternoon?

The leaders are Truro City, ahead on goal difference in this already absorbing title race.

The Tinners will be well aware Maidstone United haven’t lost since the start of September and are edging towards the play-off places.

Weston-super-Mare are sitting just behind them - it’s a home game against struggling Enfield Town next, who go into the match on the back of a rare win.

Torquay United are third and just a point behind. Paul Wotton is the Manager of the Month and fifth place Farnborough’s visit will provide plenty of entertainment.

Luke Garrard’s Boreham Wood have jumped up to fourth place and a fourth win in a row is in their sights when Chesham United arrive.

Daryl McMahon is doing great things at Hornchurch. The Urchins are aiming for a fifth win in six games when they head to promotion challengers Eastbourne Borough.

Dorking Wanderers want to clamber into the top seven and have a great chance if they can leave Chippenham with all three points.

Worthing sit in one of the spots and a home game with struggling St Albans City presents them with a chance to keep hold of what they’ve already got.

Weymouth are bottom ,even though they’ve just won at Yeovil Town in the FA Trophy - new Hemel Hempstead Town manager Lee Allinson wants a winning start.

Elsewhere Welling United face Bath City, Tonbridge and Aveley meet as Slough Town host Salisbury and Chelmsford City make the trip to Hampton & RB.
