By Tom Feaheny

There was plenty of important of results in the Vanarama National League North, but which players really stood out?

Drama was high during the past few days with leaders Salford City defeated 2nd placed Harrogate Town, writes Tom Feaheny.

But who were the players that made it all happen?

As we do every week, we get on the phone to club officials, reporters and managers to gage their views on the weekend’s best - and build a squad of 16.

Here is what we’ve come up with following Saturday’s National League North games.

How do you rate our selection process? Take your view to twitter and let us know your views @TheNationalLge

Goalkeeper: Aynsley Pears (Darlington)
On his debut the keeper made a wonder save in the last minute to ensure Darlo left with a point.

Defence: Tom Walker (Salford City)
An assured performance by the defender who scored his first goal for the club and has made an instant impact since joining.

Defence: Joel Senior (FC United of Manchester)
The defender had a great game against tough opposition and always stuck to his task.

Defence: Chris Mason (Spennymoor Town)

A dramatic clearance off the line and leadership from the defender as they left York with a point.

Defence: Cieron Keane (Alfreton Town)
You can't score two one from the halfway line, get an assist and help your team to a 4-1 win and not be selected!

Midfield: Adam Blakeman (Chorley)
A goal for Blakeman helped Chorley get a point with the midfielder creating chances as well.

Midfield: Craig Disley (Alfreton Town)
Disley has tons of quality and experience and his performance stood out during the win against Leamington.

Midfield: Brad Abbott (Boston United)

A dominant display by the Pilgrims with Abbott showing why manager Craig Elliott worked so hard to bring him to the club.

Midfield: Adriano Moke (York City)
The energy and quality that Moke has shows why York handed him a new deal.

Striker: Robbie Dale (Blyth Spartans)
The striker had a great game and caused problems throughout.

Striker: Jack Sampson (Southport)
Sampson is excelling under Kevin Davies and a good performance was matched with two goals.

Substitutes:
Reece Thompson (Boston United)
Ryan Jennings (Alfreton Town)
Jonny Burn (York City)
Mike Phenix (Salford City)
Matt Urwin (Chorley)
