Drama was high during the past few days with leaders Salford City getting a last minute equaliser while some of the chasing pack closed the gap, writes Tom Feaheny.
But who were the players that made it all happen?
As we do every week, we get on the phone to club officials, reporters and managers to gage their views on the weekend’s best - and build a squad of 16.
Here is what we’ve come up with following Saturday’s National League North games.

An assist and some good tackles from the defender who helped Chorley get their first win of 2018.

A tireless display by the midfielder who was at right-back and did a fine job and so nearly saw the team win.

Connolly got the Minstermen going with his energy and creativity in midfield being crucial to their victory.

There were a few that stood out for Southport with Dawson being key with creating chances and could on another day scored himself as well.

A winner for Nicholson who caused Gainsborough problems with his pace and eye for goal.
