National League North: Complete Tuesday Preview

By Sam Elliott

There’s no fewer than ten National League North fixtures coming your way tonight and any one of three sides could be sitting top come 10pm.

Scunthorpe United know it will be them regardless of what happens elsewhere if they delivered a third home knock-out blow to Spennymoor Town inside a fortnight.

After going ten months without a loss at Brewery Field, they’ve suffered two back-to-back - and the leaders go there with a great defensive record having conceded just eight so far.

Should they slip up, Chorley will take over providing they come up with the goods at Marine.

Andy Preece’s team defeated King's Lynn Town on Saturday but they’ll keep the heat on if they manage to win at home to Farsley Celtic.

There’s plenty of interesting games elsewhere and two former Football League names meet as Darlington face Chester.

Hereford have a rich history in the 92 as well and they want promotion this year - Oxford City stand in their way tonight.

There’s a mega game at the bottom as Rushall Olympic, pictured, and Needham Market cross swords. Both are in the bottom four and really need the points.

The FA Cup is put to one side for Brackley Town when Warrington make the long journey while Peterborough Sports play Alfreton Town as Buxton host Scarborough Athletic, who want to return to the top seven in the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile there’s focus on very different things for Radcliffe and Leamington.
