Murray Wants Cup Run To Help Build League Form

Boston United's boss Adam Murray says momentum from reaching the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup has to be used into their Vanarama National League North matches.

The Pilgrims avoided a potential upset as they defeated AFC Mansfield on Saturday thanks to a 2-0 victory, they now are focused on tomorrow's league game against AFC Telford United, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We see the cup as a bonus the aim is the league, you take these games into that because everyone was outstanding, we know how a few wins moves us up the table into the play-off places, we need to get the basics done rightly, as we have done in the cup," said Murray to the club's website.

"A few victories would put us in a good position, we are still a young group, we have added some quality to the ranks, that should hopefully make a big difference for us."

Murray praised the way his side have performed in recent weeks.

"There is a belief around the squad and the fans we need to win that next league game and then get into the next round of the FA Cup, that's the first time we have got here is a few years."
