Murray: Boston's Improvement There To See

Boston United boss Adam Murray believes their FA Cup win and a draw against Darlington represents progress.

The Pilgrims are 18th in the Vanarama National League North but are just six points off the play-off places, writes Tom Feaheny.

Murray is happy with the improvement and ahead of their tie this weekend against AFC Mansfield the manager thinks the players are in a much better frame of mind.

"I thought we were outstanding, as a whole, the players and fans, that is what we need, we looked effective, we are gaining that confidence that is much needed," he said to the club's website.

"We have made tweaks, we look more organised, we still need to make a few adjustments, the performances have improved."

Murray says due to the competition in the league, he knows how just a few wins would move them up the table.

"It is a tight knit group, we are on the right-track now, we have learnt a lot, we are six points off the play-off places, we know two good wins and we are back in that mix."

They next face AFC Mansfield, Murray knows despite facing a side divisions below them it will be a tough test.

"The FA Cup is a big competition for us, we will work in training, we are showing what we are about, we want to do well in every game, we are getting there now."
