Murphy Makes His Move To Yeovil As He Chases More Goals

Rhys Murphy has signed for Yeovil Town on the back of his 28-goal season with Chelmsford City.

He becomes the National League newcomers’ second signing of the close season.

The former Wimbledon and Forest Green striker has been backed to have another highly-productive season in front of goals.

New manager Darren Sarll has given the 28-year-old a two-year deal and

Sarll told the club’s website: "Rhys had a very successful season last season and arrives with that hunger to do the same again.

“He's a fantastic finisher and will add that out-and-out goal threat to our squad and I’m looking forward to working with him.

“This club hasn’t had a 20 or 30 goal striker since the days of Paddy Madden, so I’m delighted to bring Rhys in as our new number nine."
