Much At Stake As Our Sides Face Tricky FA Cup Replays Tonight

By Sam Elliott

Our clubs have found out their FA Cup fate but for many it is now a case of sealing their passage through.

After Monday night’s draw, temptation was dangled in front of nine of our sides who all still have work to do and overcome tricky midweek replays.

A number of them meet this evening desperate to join the rest in the first round next month - so there’s plenty at stake.

History-making Maidstone United watched on to discover who they will challenge next - either Altrincham or Solihull Moors will be hosting George Elokobi’s team after the brushed aside Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.

There’s a lot to still resolve and Boston United, if they can finish off Lincolnshire foes Gainsborough Trinity, will play either Gateshead or Steve King’s Hednesford.

Braintree Town want to know if they’ll travel to National League Hartlepool United in November - or be closer to home against Brackley Town. It’s sure the be an exciting and edgy replay at St James Park.

There’s EFL reward if Maidenhead United can get over the line against Taunton Town. League One Crawley will pay a visit to whoever comes out on top later on.

It’s a similar situation for Rushall Olympic and Peterborough Sports with Accrington Stanley, struggling in League Two, due to travel to the winner.

They are playing for a place in the first round where successful clubs will earn £45,000 with the sides defeated also handed £15,000 from the FA’s increased prize pot.
