Tommy Widdrington will be in charge of Aldershot Town for a league game for the first time since suffering two strokes back in November.

The 53-year-old has made fantastic progress and says he is ready to resume fighting for points after battling back from a very serious situation.

Aldershot welcome Tamworth on Saturday and Widdrington said: "I've certainly had my hands back on since early January in terms of being back around the training ground. I've had an influence on that and team selection.”
