Morrell: Grit And Determination Earnt Lambs Draw

Tamworth boss Andy Morrell says his side showed the qualities it takes to succeed in the National League North after drawing against Southport.

Two late goals ensured the side gained a point, with the match ending 3-3, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It was a roller coaster of a game, we've had 70 percent possession and were good on the ball," Morrell told the club's website.

"We have shown grit and determination, to keep going and get the point, we deserved something from the game."

"The lads deserve a pat on the back as it feels like a win, this could be a big turning point as in recent weeks the performances have been alright."

Morrell knows there are things that need to be worked on, as they look to get back to winning ways.

"They've had four shots on goal and scored with three of them have gone in as they are good chances, it is something we are working and will continue to work on.

"As a team we have to work on this, it's about keeping the ball out of the net, really scoring three at home should mean the game is ours."
