Morgan initially joined City on a season-long loan deal at Twerton Park from Havant & Waterlooville in July 2016.
He began his career with Wealdstone before joing Yeading for £3000 in November 2004.
He helped the side to the Isthmian League Premier Division title that season, although he missed their famous FA Cup tie with Newcastle United as he was cup-tied.
The Manchester born 33-year-old went on to score 39 goals in ninetty-four games for Yeading before joining Woking in May 2007. A year later he progressed into the Football League for the first time with Conference champions Aldershot Town.
Although undisclosed, the fee was a record for the Shots at the time and he spent three seasons with the club, netting 25 times in ninety-three appearances.
Spells with Shrewsbury Town and Plymouth Argyle followed, plus a loan spell with Hartlepool United, before he returned to non-League football, joining Havant & Waterlooville in June 2015 on a two-year deal. He returned to Wealdstone on loan in February 2016 before joining City.
Morgan signed permanently for the Romans in May 2017 and has now returned after a short spell with Hampton.
Meanwhile, after a series of niggling injuries, agreement has been reached between the club and Darren Jones to cancel his contract.
The experienced defender joined City in May 2017 from Newport County.
The 33-year old made two first-team appearances for Bristol City where he began his career as a trainee.
He spent loan periods with Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town before joining Newport in 2004.
He returned permanently to Forest Green in March 2006 where he went on to play over 100 games. Spells with Hereford United, Aldershot Town, Shrewsbury Town and AFC Wimbledon followed before he was back with his home-town club Newport in May 2014.
Apart from the first half of the 2015/16 season, where he had a third spell with Forest Green, he remained with the Exiles until heading to Twerton Park.
