The Sandgrounders were beaten 4-0 at home by Bradford Park Avenue and they have dropped into the bottom three as a result.
Southport haven’t won in the League since the start of September and former England striker Davies has called for more passion from his players.
“The goals from our point of view were too easy,” he told Southport’s Youtube channel.
“We had a good week and were confident of getting a result but when we cross that white line it’s disappointing.
“The heads went down once the first goal went in. As a group, they’ve got to stand up and show a bit more passion and desire.
“Every decent chance that the other team has seems to go in. We’ve got a couple of big games up next. As a group, we’ve just got to keep working hard and be confident that at some point things will turn for us.”
