More Of The Same And Dover Will Be Just Fine Says Hess

Andy Hessenthaler feels if Dover can build on his first game in charge they have every chance of turning their season around.

The new boss was thrilled with what he saw as the struggling Whites drew 2-2 on Harrogate Town.

In his return to the club, Hessenthaler was only denied a winning start by a very, very late Kelvin Langmead header. Watch highlights here.

It was a far cry from the performance which saw them thrashed at home by Salford City the week before.

The returning boss feels that if they show more of that Yorkshire grit then they’ll be just fine.

He said: “It was a really good performance - we deserved the win I thought.

“I was gutted for the boys as I couldn’t ask any more of them. They were brilliant against a team right up the top.

“If we carry on like that, I think things will turn. We attacked well and defended superbly. They worked so hard.”

It’s a tough test for the Whites - they take on ambitious Concord Rangers in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
