Forget about a Saturday spent Christmas shopping - there are brilliant derby games and great matches galore ahead in the FA Trophy!

The National League clubs have entered and it was a wonderful third round draw as numerous eye-catching ties were confirmed.

There’s a cracker in store as Altrincham host a very much in-form Macclesfield, the rivalry resumes as Robbie Savage brings the Silkmen along the M56 with a huge crowd expected.

It’s not the only grudge match, but Yeovil Town and Weymouth must try again on Tuesday.

But there is and in a battle of Berkshire - Slough Town and Maidenhead United cross swords.

The only way is Essex as Brentwood Town welcome Southend United and it’s another big boy travelling to lower level opposition as Stockton Town host Oldham Athletic.

Holders Gateshead, pictured, start at home and National League North Farsley Celtic look to cause a huge upset.

Barnet play just a few miles down the road and they look to end their Wembley wait this year - they need to get past Aveley on Saturday.

Hampton & RB host Hashtag, who defeated 2018 winners Brackley in the last round and York City face former winners Darlington at the LNER Community Stadium.

There are some all-National League ties too. Sutton United host Ebbsfleet United, Hartlepool United face Tamworth and Aldershot Town are at home to Wealdstone.

Third round winners will receive £4,500 from the competition prize fund, while losing teams will earn £1,250.
