More Deals Done As New Season Edges Closer

The fixtures are out and the pre-season games have started as manager continue to build their squads.

With four weeks to go until the new season it feels like we've never been away as a busy summer continues for our clubs.

Here's who has been making moves this week.

Southend had some welcome news when their transfer embargo was lifted this week - and they wasted no time adding new recruits.

Former Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge striker Josh Walker was first through the door, quickly followed by Joe Gubbins who is back at Roots Hall permanently after impressing in a loan spell in 2022.

One going the other way for the Shrimpers is goalkeeper David Martin - he joins Premier League Ipswich Town as a goalkeeping coach.

Kelvin Davis has been busy stamping his mark on his Eastleigh side.

The Spitfires welcomed Notts County defender Richard Brindley first before adding Welsh midfielder Lloyd Humphries from Weston-super-Mare.

Sutton United continue to build albeit with just one new addition this week.

Hayden Muller - who signs from Dundalk - becomes signing number 14 of the season for Steve Morison.

Towering defender Adam Alimi-Adetoro has signed for FC Halifax Town following his release from Sheffield Wednesday.

The 6’5″ Irishman replaces Jordan Keane who left the Shaymen last week to sign for National League North side Southport.

Danny Searle has moved to add some National League nous to his Ebbsfleet side - Wes Fonguck and Jephte Tanga have penned deals at the Kuflink.

In the National League North, Jed Abbey has swapped South Shields for Alfreton Town.

King's Lynn caught the eye this week with the return of striker Gold Omotayo.

The 30-year-old hit 21 goals in his last stint in the North division before leaving the Linnets for AFC Fylde.

Needham Market have been busy tying down their title-winning squad.

Tevan Allen and Ollie Fraser have re-signed for their first campaign at Step 2 - so too has last season's top-scorer Seth Chambers.

The Southern League Central winners added a new face too after bringing former Chesterfield winger Harley Curtis in.

John McGrath has linked up with one of his old players again.

Ethan Mann bagged a big move to Stockport County working under the now-Buxton boss at Mickleover Sports.

The pair have linked back up again as Mann makes a loan move to the Silverlands Stadium.

Nathan Minhas has swapped one National League South side for another after joining Chesham United from Slough Town.
