The striker returns to the Moors from SkyBet League Two side Grimsby Town on a loan deal until January.
The news is sure to be well-received by all connected with the club after the 25-year-old became a fans’ favourite with 33 goals in a season and a half spell at The Automated Technology Group Stadium between June 2015 and January 2017.
Asante was the Moors’ `golden boot` winner – with 21 goals - during the historic National League North title-winning season in 2015/16.
The Dutch-born Ghanaian becomes new manager Richard Money’s second signing after Chris Camwell’s arrival on loan from Coventry City last week.
Asante began his senior career at Birmingham City – making one appearance in the UEFA Europa League – before chalking up further experience with loan spells at Northampton Town and Shrewsbury Town.
The pacey frontman then spent a season at Kidderminster Harriers before finding a rich vein of form at Solihull which catapulted back into the Football League with a move to Grimsby, alongside Jamey Osbourne, in January.
After starting his time at the Mariners’ with nine League Two appearances, Asante has missed the start of the 2017/18 campaign through injury and has recently been going through rehabilitation at St. George’s Park.
Asante will now be looking to use his time back at Solihull to re-sharpen his eye for goal and help lift the club further up the National League.
