The Vanarama National League bottom markers have been without a boss since Richard Money called it a day at the end of October.
Reports suggest their hunt is near its conclusion - Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Sutton United was home defeat number seven of the season already.
Honest Whild feels sorry for the players who he feels are working hard to keep the club in Non-League’s top flight.
But he says direction is needed to change the team’s fortunes and for the Moors to start getting results again.
“What it really needs now is for somebody to come in and address the situation soon,” said the stand-in boss after the loss to Sutton on Saturday.
“Whoever it is will have his own ideas and will want to bring in two of three lads to freshen things up, that usually happens.
“It’s stating the obviously but the club needs to bring some more people in. It needs it, everyone can see that.
“The players are trying their best, there’s no question of that. They need help and they need support.”
Whild, the former Kidderminster manager, added: “In my weeks here I have seen it a few times - the team are well in the game but the end up losing. Obviously now it needs someone to try and change the mindset a little bit..
“They are good players going through a difficult period. They were in the Sutton game for long periods but it’s the same old story really, they just can’t get that result.
“But there’s still time for the club to turn things around this season. There’s a good dressing room but they need help.”
