Moors Boss Yates Says His Eyes Aren't On The Table Just Yet

Solihull Moors's Mark Yates would not understate the importance of his side leaving FC Halifax Town with a point, but insisted for now he is not looking at the National League table.

The boss made it clear for now the focus is not on where they are in the league, writes Tom Feaheny.

"At the end of the season I will look at the table not now, we are on a run that means we can just focus on ourselves and no one else, that is how we want it to be," Yates said.

"I'm proud of what I have seen in recent weeks, in different situations and challenges we have overcome a lot, we need to take it one game at a time and just focus on ourselves.

"Really I'm not looking at the table yet but the progression is clear and I know the fans are seeing us in the bottom four on goal difference alone now."

A 0-0 draw for the side, in a match where both teams had chances could prove to be vital in a few weeks time.

"This is a good point for us, we showed the right attitude to get it and now must move onto the next match," Yates said.

"It was a game where I've left thinking it was probably the right result, our keeper has had to make a world class save but so has theirs."

"We had chances and coming to a team like ourselves on a good run, it was always going to be a tough game, end to end and credit to them, we both matched each other."
