Moore: Concord Can Use Tonight's 'Lifeline' In Their Favour

Sammy Moore won't let anyone rain on Concord Rangers' parade and insists his players can still finish the season in a play-off place.

The Beachboys head to Truro this evening for their rearranged fixture knowing a win would take them back into the top seven.

And despite going down 1-0 to Oxford City at the weekend, Moore is still full of confidence.

"We can't be too down because we're right in the mix," he told the club's video service.

"If we go and win on Tuesday at Truro, we go back into the play-offs. But fair play to Oxford, they've come and done a job on us.

"We've had a wake-up call today, a kick in the teeth. But we've got a lifeline on Tuesday night if we get three points at Tuesday."

Concord face a potentially tough run-in with trips to Woking and Eastbourne. Their only remaining home game is against St Albans who are also in the promotion mix.

After just three defeats since the start of December, Moore couldn't be happier with his players.

"I don't want to be too harsh on the players because they've been excellent this season.

"We've got to keep everyone fresh for a tough run of fixtures coming up but the main thing is that we're still there.

"We've had a great season," he added. "Everyone didn't think we'd be in the position but we'll go right until the end."
