Moore: Barrow Still After New Additions

By Tom Feaheny

The Barrow assistant revealed the club are actively looking to bring in new faces to the team ahead of the season.

Moore was in charge of the National League sides 0-0 draw against Crewe with boss Paul Cox away on transfer related business. The assistant told the club's website they know they need more additions, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We still feel we are missing some ingredients compared to last seasons squad. We know what we need and when the opportunity arises for that player to come along and we know what that is we will try and take it

"The gaffer has looked at a player and know must make a call on them to see if they join us soon."

They next face Nottingham Forest's under 23s with Moore saying he expects a tough pre-season match.

"These games are the hardest ones, you are playing against players who want to impress, they come here and have a point to prove, they know they can secure a move to the National League and use it to try and get into the Forest team or moving elsewhere."

Despite looking at more players coming in Moore is pleased with how the current squad is doing.

"Each game we take positives, there are a lot of players getting minutes, regaining fitness it is a process."
