Money Looking On The Bright Side Despite Noble Blow

Hartlepool United are reeling after learning their top-scorer could be out for over a month.

Liam Noble is set for a stint on the sidelines after a scan revealed a calf injury could keep him out for up to six weeks.

The 27-year-old has been in top form for the Pools this season, scoring 12 goals.

Boss Richard Money was focusing on the positives despite learning of the blow and says it gives him a chance to look at his squad.

“I think he first felt it in the Gateshead game but we’ve been trying to manage it,” he told the club's website.

“But it’s obviously got worse since then so we felt it necessary to get the scan done and now we know we’re without him for a period of time.

“The good thing is we do have options in that position so it gives somebody else a chance to come in and show me what they can do.”
