The Minstermen boss Gary Mills wants high standards to be maintained after they almost dropped points against Nuneaton Town, writes Tom Feaheny.
Mills saw his side with a 3-0 lead after 70 minutes but they in the end just won by a single goal.
Speaking to the club's website afterwards Mills praised his sides recent run but wants them to learn from this result.
"It is not a bad thing at times to learn a lesson and we have all learned a lesson."
He added: "It's nice to get three points and bounce back, we lost the first game and we have got 10 points from the last 12 so that's a fantastic response."
They will next face Southport another side who have started the season strongly and Mills is hopeful they can take what they discovered going into that game.
"We learned lessons from our last two matches, my team, my squad of players, have learned a lesson that we will take forward."
