The Minstermen boss Gary Mills was full of praise for his side after they gained the away victory, writes Tom Feaheny.
Speaking to BBC Radio York after the win, Mills said.
"It's lovely to get four goals, get the reaction that we wanted, we played against a decent side, and to leave with the points, I thought they were superb, we have started the week in the best way possible.
"To be 3-0 up at half-time was good, to be fair to them they kept going, it is not an easy place to come to."
Along with the three points, the goal for Louis Almond his first for the club, was something Mills picked out as a big bonus.
"We all know he deserved it, he has been lively, he took it well, some people panic in front of goal, he took it really well, as a front three, him, Jon Parkin and Amari Morgan-Smith, all worked really well as a unit."
