Before this weekend’s thrilling 4-3 win at Aldershot Town, the Shaymen had scored just 21 times in the National League - a lower total than any of the teams in the division’s top 18.
While only a handful of clubs have conceded fewer goals, fans have been waiting for things to click at the other end.
Town scored more than one goal in a league game for the first time since early October last weekend and manager Millington says Saturday’s victory in Hampshire was evidence that he has good enough forward players at his disposal.
This weekend they want to show Barnet what they’ve got in attack and the Halifax boss has come out fighting after ending a blunt two months.
"I'm quite protective of our lads and I think some of the criticism they have to deal with is unwarranted,” he said.
"Without a doubt there are goals in this side. Billy Waters has got a decent track record, I believe Jamie Cooke will become a very, very prolific striker.
"He's still a baby in years really, but people forget because of the amount of games he's played. But his ability to finish is getting better and better each month and he'll become a really potent striker as he matures.
"We know Zak Emmerson's finishing ability. He's struggled with injuries and being able to deal with the physical demands of National League football but he's starting to get there and will contribute with goals.
"And we've got others, Max Wright weighs in with a number of goals each season, we'd expect Flo Hoti to weigh in with a number, Andrew Oluwabori scores goals,” Millington told the Halifax Courier.
