The former Tottenham and Fulham midfielder, 32, doesn’t fit in with the new full-time structure at the Blues.
They tweeted today: “From Everyone at the club we would like to thank @Mrjamieohara1 for all his efforts and hardwork in his 18 months at the club.
“Both parties have agreed with the new structure in place it was the best decision for all.”
Manager Dean Brennan told us earlier this week that people are reading too much into player departures.
He said: “Football is a funny game and people read a lot into things. Let me tell you now that Billericay Town are not having any problems and that we are excited about the future.
“Last month it was decided the club would turn professional. It was a decision we made for the good of the club and one that could help achieve the ambition of promotion.
“Doing this mid-season isn’t easy. It was planned for the summer, but I was pushing to do it sooner.
“To do this not everyone fits into the structure. Letting Jake go was my decision and it was a footballing one. It doesn’t mean we are in crisis and that the club is in trouble. It’s not.
“Sometimes to bring players in you need to let others go. We have five strikers, and we needed more in other areas. Those talks are continuing.”
