Mid-Week Preview For The National League North Games

There are three games taking place tonight and two tomorrow in the Vanarama National League North with the focus on the play-off places.

With these matches being rearranged due to the weather a few weeks ago, there is still a lot to play for, writes Tom Feaheny.

Blyth Spartans V Curzon Ashton

Blyth Spartans still have a chance of making the play-off places but know they simply have to win tonight, a run of one win in their last nine matches has seen them leave the top seven places and they are currently 11th.

They take on Curzon Ashton who are safe from relegation thanks to a four game unbeaten run, victory tonight could move them up to 14th in the table.

Nuneaton Town V Boston United

Back to back wins has helped the Pilgrims to four points off a play-off place, they again know that they need a result tonight along with others going their way before the end of the season, Craig Elliott's Boston United beat the new league champions Salford City at the weekend.

They are away at Nuneaton Town who are safely in mid-table with two draws in their recent games they will be looking to end their home season in style with their last two games both at Liberty Way.

Spennymoor Town V AFC Telford United

Spennymoor Town still have three games to go before the season ends and know it is all in their own hands as they look to get a play-off place, infact five points from these matches will guarantee them a top seven finish.

AFC Telford United have seen back to back wins propel them to 15th in the Vanarama National League North table, they are safe from relegation and will be making plans for next season now.

Brackley Town V Chorley

Brackley Town have third place confirmed and a win tomorrow could see them move closer to second.

Kevin Wilkin's team have an impressive home record of just one loss this season in the league.

The Magpies are in the play-off places at present but know it is an important week coming up with their next two games key to confirming they are through.

Darlington V Southport

Darlington are looking to make it four games unbeaten as they sit in mid-table.

They take on Kevin Davies's Southport who are a place off the relegation zone but know they are safe, they are looking to end a losing run of seven matches.
