Merrie Midfielder For Port

Southport have confirmed the loan signing of youngster Christopher Merrie from Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic for the remainder of the season.
The 18-year-old midfielder signed a pro deal with the Latics at the end of last season, after impressing for the Wigan under-18 side.
Merrie made his debut against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup and played again in the Checkatrade Trophy at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday.
