Mellon Pleased With Rovers Complete Performance

Micky Mellon said Tranmere's 4-2 win over FC Halifax Town was a good watch for him for many reasons.

Nearly 5000 fans were at Prenton Park to watch Rovers gain a hard earned win, that moved them four points off the play-off places. Match highlights here, writes Tom Feaheny.

“We have to be pleased having scored four goals. The performance from start to finish was great," Mellon told the club's website.

"There are things we’ll comb over because we always want to improve and get better at things but to score four goals, and the quality of those goals, was very pleasing."

Another positive for Rovers was Larnell Cole getting a goal on his debut, Mellon says they know the potential he has.

“In flashes, he’s fantastic in the final third and we’re really pleased to have him here and I’m sure he’ll bring lots of smiles to people’s faces.”
