“We were completely beaten in all aspects of the football match,” the manager said following Saturday’s conclusive defeat at the Crown Oil Arena.
“We were completely bossed by the table toppers. We were aware of what could come. We watched their game against York on Tuesday night and Barnet were amazing.
“I have to credit them. As much as we are disappointed in our performance, I think it’s unfair if I don’t.
“They are by far the best team to come here in my time at the club in the National League and in League Two as well. They are the best performing all round team since I have been involved here.”
Rochdale are now seven points shy of the play-off pack but one of their games in hand comes on Tuesday when they face Tamworth at The Lamb.
“We have to rejuvenate as quickly as possible now, the schedule is heavy,” he said. “We’ve got an important week ahead of us.However heavily defeated we were against Barnet, it was still only three points lost.”
