McGregor: Seagulls' Showings Will Lead To More Victories

Weston-super-Mare boss Marc McGregor is confident his side will start getting the results they deserve in the National League South.

The Seagulls progressed through to the FA Trophy second round with victory at Chesham United on Tuesday night.

Their previous two League games saw them lose 2-1 to both Hampton & Richmond and struggling Poole Town.

McGregor was pleased with the Trophy victory against Southern League side Chesham and reckons positivity will lead to good things.

“We’ve not been playing badly,” he told the club’s website. “I’ve discussed with our lads that it’s not always about the result - it’s about the inputs we have.

“If our inputs are good, usually the results come with it. Now and again they don’t but we have to live with that because we’re a young side.

“If we were playing poorly and losing, I’d be worried but we’re not. We’re playing good stuff and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. We’ve got to remain positive as a group.”
