A topsy turvy match ended up with Solihull Moors picking up their first point of the season after drawing 3-3 at home, writes Tom Feaheny.
McDonald spoke to the club's website afterwards and tried to sum up the frantic match.
"I was so happy with a minute to go, to be 2-0 down at half-time and get into a winning position, to score 3 goals, but to concede like that it almost felt like we lost the game.
He added: "We have to be proud of gaining a point against a team who will be up there at the end of the season when 2-0 down, we have to cut out the mistakes and move on from this."
McDonald also spoke about the importance of playing at home after they picked up their first point.
"Being at home, with our own crowd, when we went to 2-2, we could sense the fans behind the goal giving us that extra incentive. We are back here Saturday against FC Halifax Town and we know the game will be similar so that home support is vital."
