Solihull Moors boss Liam McDonald admits his side must learn and improve quickly if they are to climb off the foot of the table, writes Tom Feaheny.
Speaking after a loss to Boreham Wood the manager told the club's website.
"We've had two games now and on Thursday we worked on set-pieces, the lads are taking a lot on board because we are giving them a lot of information, they need to grasp it quickly.
He added: "We had a good pre-season but we have almost taken our foot off the gas, giving teams a bit too much respect we can't do that."
Solihull next have their first home game of the season as they face Barrow, McDonald wants them to take advantage of that.
"We've got that home game coming up, I hope that the way our pitch is that gives us the incentive to push forward a bit quicker and in greater numbers."
