McDonald Gutted After Late Goal Costs Side Win

Solihull Moors were moments away from claiming three points against Dag & Red but conceded late on to draw 2-2.

The Moors boss Liam McDonald admitted to concede so late meant despite it being a good point against a team competing at the top of the table, it felt like a loss, writes Tom Feaheny.

Speaking to the club's website after the result McDonald said.

"I'm absolutely gutted with how we didn't win this one, if we clear that corner away, that's it we win against a team who are looking to win the league, that being said it is a good point for us.

"I felt this was the strongest squad we could put out, so there are some good things to take from it, but again it is frustrating to know we are moments away from that win."

The Moors remain in the relegation places ahead of their trip to Dover Athletic next Saturday but McDonald is feeling positive.

"We now have that full week, so two good sessions to prepare for the match on Saturday. We are gradually getting stronger, we have got players like Richard Brodie in who did well."

He added: "I keep saying that when we are all back, we will not be in the relegation places, we will progress, we will move up, it is a gradual process, but I feel like we are getting there."
