McDonald Frustrated With Dropped Points From Good Performances

Solihull Moors boss Liam McDonald says his side have once again been punished by their own mistakes in recent games, despite playing well in general.

The Moors find themselves 23rd in the Vanarama National League table with eleven games gone, writes Tom Feaheny.

Liam McDonald the club's website his side were simply punished once again, after another display that could have seen them get a result.

"I think the result sums up the season at the minute, we were in it, there is a lack of concentration and we lose, it's happened several games, we are nearly there but just not quite there.

"It is frustrating for me and the players, the fans, I have to accept sometimes we will fall short, we have created chances and played our part in the game, we deserved something from it."

They are back in action next Saturday with McDonald saying it is crucial as they aim to get their squad back to full fitness.

"The free week will be important, we hope to get another player back body wise, Jermaine Hylton is closing in on a return, we are getting the squad back slowly."

He added "With all the injuries we have got, the expectation from some people is a little bit too much at times, all we can do is keep working hard, we will rest this week."
