McDermott Makes Lavelle-Moore His Eighteenth Signing

Alfreton Town have announced the signing of Malachi Lavelle-Moore for the upcoming 2017/18 season.

Lavelle-Moore came through the ranks at Notts County and signed his first professional deal in 2013.

A move to Macclesfield Town followed in the 2014-15 season before Lavelle-Moore found himself on loan at Witton Albion for the majority of the campaign.

A month`s loan at Torquay United followed in August 2015 and he then switched to Rushall Olympic in November 2015.

A move to Boston United followed in January 2016 where he made five appearances and he spent spells at Ilkeston FC and Coalville Town in the Evo-Stik League Premier last season.

Reds boss John McDermott was pleased to have wrapped up his eighteenth addition: “Malachi is a very good player, we had a look at him Tuesday night at Long Eaton, he did well and got himself a goal. He knows his way to goal and has excellent awareness.”

“He links the play up really well and has an excellent touch. He’s another player that needs to be settled and given an opportunity, he needs a chance and he has plenty of ability.”

“He will add to what we have, we have great depth up front where we will need goals. Our style of play suits him well, he has quick feet and as well as being a target man he is quick on the ball too. It’s a great last addition for us”.
