McDermott: It Will Take Time For Squad To Adjust

John McDermott spoke ahead of Alfreton Town's match at home against North Ferriby United

After signing 18 players during pre-season John McDermott knows it will take some time for the squad to adjust, writes Tom Feaheny.

So far they have gained a win in those three matches and the boss had this to say about them adjusting to the changes when speaking to Amar Sharma.

"We have 18 new players, training once a week, it's going to take time, we look too open in certain games and we need to work on that."

He added: "We are three games in and we need to be realistic, it will take time with the players we have brought in, we've had a tough start but we will get there."

Town next face North Ferriby United tomorrow at home, with McDermott expecting a tight match.

"They will be another tough team, they came down last year and we need to make sure we get back to being solid again. We might change the personel; but it's a long season.
