Matt Is Taylor Made For Stones As New Boss Named

The club vowed to leave “no stone unturned” as they looked to get their next appointment right and their search is over.

They have picked Taylor, the former Swindon Town, Walsall and Shrewsbury Town boss, with Paul Hughes named his assistant.

Earlier today Sam Cox took to social media to say he hadn’t been offered the opportunity, despite keeping the club in the division thanks to a fantastic final few weeks.

"I am excited to join Wealdstone," said Taylor after he was unveiled tonight. "We have a great opportunity to build something special here, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."

The 42-year-old played Premier League football for West Ham, Portsmouth and Bolton Wanderers.
