Enterprise National League

The Enterprise National League sits at Step 1 in the National League System, serving as the gateway to the upper echelons of English football. Teams compete on a nationwide basis, featuring a mix of former EFL clubs aiming to regain league status and ambitious sides looking to make their mark. Each season, two clubs earn promotion to League Two of the English Football League (EFL) - the champions, and the winner of the Promotion Final at Wembley.

Enterprise National League North

Representing the northern half of England at Step 2, the Enterprise National League North features a diverse mix of clubs, including former Football League teams, well-supported non-league sides, and ambitious clubs with a vision for higher levels. It is a fiercely contested division where two teams earn promotion to the National League each season.

Enterprise National League South

Stretching from the furthest reaches of the West Country, through London, and up into the Midlands, the Enterprise National League South forms the other half of Step 2 football in England. The division features an array of clubs, from former league teams to growing non-league outfits looking to establish themselves at a higher level. Two teams are promoted to the National division each season.

National League Cup

Introduced in the 2024–25 season, the National League Cup features 32 teams: 16 from the National League and 16 representative Under-21 squads from Premier League 2, competing in groups before advancing to knock-outs. The primary aim is to provide young players with experience against senior teams, while offering National League clubs the opportunity to compete against elite youth talent, all hosted at National League stadia.

U19 Alliance

The National League U19 Alliance is a competition for players aged 16 to 19, allowing them to develop their football skills while pursuing education through approved providers, such as sixth forms, colleges, or independent organisations. To enter, clubs must have a formal agreement with an education provider, and their senior team must compete at Step Four or above in the National League System. Space permitting, Premier League and EFL clubs running community or Foundation Trust programmes may also be considered.
